Paraná

Paraná is a state in southern Brazil that is home to the Iguaçu Falls, with hundreds of waterfalls stretching along the border with Argentina. Surrounding the falls is the Iguaçu National Park, a subtropical forest with diverse wildlife, while to the north lies the massive Itaipu Dam. Hundreds of kilometers to the east, near the Atlantic beaches of Guaratuba and the major port of Paranaguá, is the lush capital of the state, Curitiba.
