From Rio we go to the Quitandinha to admire its beautiful architecture. We visit the Imperial Museum and continue to the Crystal Palace, the Cathedral of St. Peter, the house of Santos Dumont and the clock of Jardim das Flores. tasting in Cervejaria Bohemia (optional).

Petrópolis earned the nickname “Imperial City” due to its connection with the Brazilian imperial family. It was founded in 1843 by Emperor Dom Pedro II, who chose it as his summer retreat. The city is home to the Imperial Museum, which was the emperor’s summer residence.
The Imperial Museum of Petrópolis is one of Brazil’s most important museums. It houses an extensive collection of objects related to the history of imperial Brazil, including furniture, jewelry, clothing, and historical documents.
The Crystal Palace is one of Petrópolis’ most iconic landmarks. It was constructed in 1884 and inspired by a similar structure in France. The iron and glass building was used to host flower exhibitions and social events.
Petrópolis is home to some of Brazil’s largest breweries, including the Bohemia Brewery. Visitors can take guided tours of these breweries to learn about beer production and taste local beers.
Petrópolis’ architecture was heavily influenced by Europe, and the city is known for its buildings that resemble European cities. Additionally, due to its location in the mountains of the Serra do Mar, Petrópolis has a milder and cooler climate compared to the coastal cities of Rio de Janeiro.
