The Fazenda São Luis da Boa Sorte is known for its well-preserved colonial architecture. The property includes a main house (the farm’s headquarters) that is a notable example of 19th-century rural architecture. It features verandas, sash windows, and architectural details that harken back to the period.

During the 19th century, the farm was primarily dedicated to coffee production, which was the main agricultural crop in the Coffee Valley region. Brazilian coffee played a significant role in the country’s economy and the history of the coffee cycle in Brazil.

The farm has been used as a filming location for several film and television productions. Its architecture and picturesque landscapes have made it a popular filming location for works depicting the Brazilian colonial period.
