Rio de Janeiro, Foz Iguaçu & Amazon Jungle

Welcome to Brazil! After landing at the international airport of Rio de Janeiro, you will be greeted. During the transfer to your hotel in Copacabana, you can get a first impression of the former capital of Brazil, which is wonderfully nestled between numerous hills and bays. From a distance, you can certainly catch a glimpse of the city's two landmarks: the Christ the Redeemer statue and Sugarloaf Mountain. The rest of the day can be used as free time.

If your flight arrives early in the morning, it's possible to arrange a tour on the first day. This should be booked in advance.

Today you will participate in "A Day in Rio": a full-day tour that will allow you to discover all the main tourist attractions of Rio de Janeiro. You will visit the Christ the Redeemer statue, Sugarloaf Mountain, Maracanã Stadium (exterior), the Lapa arches, the Selarón Steps, the Metropolitan Cathedral of Saint Sebastian, and finally the Sambadrome. The tour includes transfers (which will pick you up at your hotel at the beginning of the tour and take you back at the end), an Italian-speaking guide, all entrance fees, and lunch. The order of destinations may vary.

Today you will participate in the Arraial do Cabo tour, also known as the "Brazilian Caribbean". The tour includes several stops (about half an hour each) for you to relax and enjoy a swim in the crystal-clear waters:

- Prainha
- Praia do Forno
- Praia do Farol
- Gruta Azul and fenda da Nossa Senhora (passage)
- Praia dos Anjos
- The tour includes transportation (round trip directly from your hotel in Rio de Janeiro), an Italian-speaking guide, the boat expedition, and lunch.

Alternative: Similar boat tour on the opposite side of the coast.

Today you will participate in a guided tour of the Santa Teresa neighborhood and the historic part of Rio de Janeiro.

Located in the heart of the city, with its natural and architectural attractions, its viewpoint, cultural centers, studios, galleries, restaurants - and even carnival blocks - increasingly draw visitors and tourists nearby, especially those looking for an alternative pastime with a touch of the tranquility of the past, in the heart of the central metropolis.

Finally, you will proceed to the visit of the historic downtown of Rio de Janeiro, passing through key points such as the Telegrafo's Arches and Praça XV.

Subsequently, you will visit the Tijuca Forest, one of the largest urban forests in the world! We also take the opportunity to visit Vista Chinesa to appreciate the beautiful landscape of Ipanema and Copacabana Beach, Guanabara Bay, and Niteroi. We combine this tour with a guided visit to the Botanical Garden with its beautiful palms and orchidarium. The place is also famous for birdwatching, and you might spot various species out there.

Pick up at your hotel, transfer to Rio airport to catch the flight to Foz.

Upon arriving at Foz airport, you will meet with the guide and visit the Parque das Aves, an internationally recognized center for the rescue and conservation of birds, located within the rich and lush Atlantic Forest.

Later, you will have the opportunity to explore the Brazilian side of the Parque das Cataratas, walking along a approximately one-kilometer-long walkway that provides a frontal panoramic view of the waterfalls. This walkway ends at a platform from which you can once again admire the natural spectacle of the Garganta do Diabo (Devil's Throat).

Optional: For those interested, you can purchase the Macuco Safari, which involves a rafting excursion to get an even closer view of the falls. Alternatively, there is also the possibility of taking a helicopter flight to enjoy an exclusive view of this natural wonder. These options should be booked in advance.

After breakfast, meet with the guide and depart to explore the Argentine side of the Parque das Cataratas (Cataratas National Park). You will walk along a series of walkways with views of the waterfalls from above. The longest walkway leads to a spectacular view of the upper part of the waterfalls and the Garganta do Diabo (Devil's Throat), the largest of the falls with an extension of 150 meters.

Optional: For those interested, you can purchase the Gran Aventura Tour, which involves a rafting excursion for a closer view of the waterfalls. This should be booked in advance.

Our driver will pick you up at your hotel. Please be at the reception at the designated time provided to you. You will be taken to the airport to catch your flight.

Upon arrival, a representative will be waiting for you at the airport, holding a sign with your name on it. They will accompany you to the hotel check-in.

Transfer by car to Ceasa Port (20 minutes). You will board a boat that will sail to the meeting of the waters, with a stop for photos and observing the pink dolphins (30 minutes), heading to Villa do Careiro. Then, you will visit the regional fruit market and take a van or micro-bus (40 minutes on BR 319), which connects Manaus to Porto Velho. There will be a stop to photograph the Victoria Regia following the Araçá River. Following that, there will be a regional boat transfer through various lakes, streams, and communities. Along the river, you can observe many birds. This part of the transfer is a true adventure, with an expected arrival around 5:00 PM. There's a great opportunity for spotting animals like monkeys, sloths, and a wide variety of birds. Dinner will be served at the hotel restaurant at 7:30 PM.

(05:30) Departure for sunrise observation and bird watching. Followed by breakfast.
(08:30) Jungle trekking with a specialized jungle guide where you'll learn survival techniques in the jungle, as well as about our wildlife and biodiversity. In the afternoon, piranha fishing. Return to the lodge.
After dinner, departure for observing nocturnal animals and spotlighting alligators using lanterns.

(08:00) Visit to the caboclos' house to learn about their customs and culture, visiting cassava plantations and other crops. Lunch at noon.
In the afternoon, a rowing boat tour is planned, which is also the best way to photograph the forest while listening to the birds. During the high water season (from January to September), you will navigate through the igapós (flooded forests) and igarapés (small channels cutting through the flooded forests). During the evening, you will be free to enjoy the splendid river scenery, moonlight, and stars, or make use of our recreational space while tasting different beverages.

(08:00) After breakfast, a jungle walk to learn about some species of medicinal plants and get up close with the rubber tree. You will also have the opportunity to visit the house of an old rubber tapper to see how latex is transformed into natural rubber. You'll observe the crafting of goods made from rubber.

(08:00) After breakfast, departure for dolphin watching in the igapós, igarapés, rivers, and lakes. Following that, a visit to the community school to learn a bit more about river life and the caboclos of the region.

The Pedra do Telegrafo has captured the attention of many hikers from around the world. The rock is far from the city center, located in the Parque Estadual da Pedra Branca. The transfer service will take you to the Park to start the hike.

It's a moderate and slightly steep hike at the beginning. The tour guide will assist you along the way. From up there, we have a spectacular view of Restinga da Marambaia, Selvagem Beach, and Gávea Rock. The highlight is the Bigorna Rock. You can sit on the rock for a photo that gives the impression of hanging on the edge of it. Everyone will think you took a risk to capture that photo. Finally, return to your hotel.

Rio de Janeiro doesn't lack for spectacular places. Morro Dois Irmãos is one of the best, and perhaps the most interesting, offering views over the glamorous beaches and the favelas. The day begins early with a pickup from your hotel to the trailhead at the base of Two Brothers Hill. You'll hike through Tijuca Forest up to the top of Dois Irmãos for a panoramic view of Rio's southern area. Return for the continuation of the tour, taking a closer look at favela life before being dropped off at your hotel. Half-day tour of Morro Dois Irmãos and Favela do Vidigal.

Impressive views of Ipanema and Leblon beaches.

Recommended: In the afternoon, a tour to the wild beaches on the outskirts of the city.

After the incredible impressions of one of the most beautiful and vibrant countries on earth, you'll be taking your flight back home today if you're concluding your individual tour of Brazil at this point. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport. Your eyes might close on the return flight, but perhaps you can use the time to look through the many vacation photos in the airplane and relive the unforgettable days in Brazil!
