Welcome to Brazil! After landing at the international airport of Rio de Janeiro, you will be greeted. During the transfer to your hotel in Copacabana, you can get a first impression of the former capital of Brazil, which is beautifully nestled between numerous hills and bays. From a distance, you can surely catch a glimpse of the two landmarks of the city: the Christ the Redeemer statue and the Sugarloaf Mountain. The rest of the day can be used as free time.

If your flight arrives early in the morning, it's possible to arrange a tour on the first day. It's recommended to book in advance.

Today you will participate in "Um dia no Rio" (A Day in Rio): a full-day tour that will allow you to discover all the main tourist attractions of Rio de Janeiro. We will start early in the morning by visiting the almost deserted Selarón Steps, then proceed to Corcovado to visit the Christ the Redeemer statue at its opening time. Later, you will visit the Botanical Garden and see the Metropolitan Cathedral of Rio. We will conclude the day with a visit to the Sugarloaf Mountain. The tour includes transportation (which will pick you up from your hotel at the beginning of the tour and drop you off at the end), an Italian-speaking guide, all entrance fees, and lunch. The order of the destinations may vary.

Today you will be picked up by our guide to visit one of the largest stadiums in the world.

It's the Maracanã Stadium, one of the most famous and well-known. You'll be able to enter the stadium after visiting an official store of Flamengo and Fluminense, the two main teams in Rio, where you can optionally buy a jersey or football merchandise. For the avid fans, there's even an opportunity to get a Brazil jersey signed by Pelé. Inside the stadium, you'll also visit the Football Museum and have the chance to take penalty kicks on the field itself!

Next, we'll move to another stadium called Sapucaí, more commonly known as the Sambodrome. Here, the guide will explain everything interesting about the Rio Carnival week.

To conclude the tour in style, you'll be taken to where Carnival exists year-round. This is a unique approximately 2-hour tour that allows you to see the Samba city, where the 14 most important samba schools of Rio have their allegorical floats. You'll have a guided visit to the warehouse of Acadêmicos da Grande Rio – one of the main samba schools in Rio de Janeiro.

You'll then visit the exhibition hall, where you can learn a bit about the history of samba and see carnival parades. To get into the mood, you'll have costumes available to wear and take pictures in.

To end on a high note, there will be a space for "Sabor do Samba" (Flavor of Samba), where we'll offer you a caipirinha cocktail. But that's not all, you'll also have a chance to have a mini samba lesson with one of our dancers!

Afterwards, the rest of the day is free.

Today you will be joining a full-day tour to explore the Costa Verde (Green Coast). You will depart early in the morning from your hotel to reach Angra dos Reis (approximately 2.5 hours away), where you'll board a speedboat to begin the exploration of the Angra dos Reis archipelago.

The tour includes several stops at the most beautiful beaches for snorkeling and enjoying the archipelago. We'll make stops at various locations to swim and appreciate the stunning blue waters surrounded by the lush green of the Mata Atlântica (Atlantic Forest).

At the end of the day, you'll return to the port of Angra for a direct transfer back to Rio, arriving in the evening (approximately 2.5 hours of travel).

Today is dedicated to trekking and exploring the favelas.

Rio de Janeiro is not short of spectacular places. Morro Dois Irmãos (Two Brothers Hill) is one of the best and perhaps the most interesting, offering views of the glamorous beaches and the favelas. The day starts early with a pickup from your hotel to the trailhead at the base of Two Brothers Hill. You'll hike through Tijuca Forest to the summit of Dois Irmãos for a panoramic view of the southern area of Rio. Afterward, continue with a closer look at favela life before being dropped off at your hotel. This is a half-day tour of Morro Dois Irmãos and Favela do Vidigal.

You'll have an impressive view of Ipanema and Leblon beaches during your journey.

In the afternoon, you'll participate in a half-day walking tour of Rocinha favela, the largest favela in Rio de Janeiro and all of South America. Organized by a local guide who speaks your language and residents of the favela, this activity takes place with full respect for the residents and without intrusiveness.

Known as a location from the movie "City of God," Rio's favelas have fallen victim to some unfortunate stereotypes. To dispel these misconceptions and show you the real Rio de Janeiro, this tour allows you to observe the daily life in these areas far from sensational headlines.

While other favela tours are conducted by car, in this case, you'll have the opportunity to walk through the streets of the area and interact with the local residents. You'll learn about the history of Rocinha favela and its economic and social challenges. The price of the tour also includes a contribution that is donated to the local community.

A free day to enjoy the city beaches or join the street Blocos parties.

Recommended: If you wish, you can visit Tijuca Forest, one of the largest urban forests in the world! We also suggest combining this with a visit to Vista Chinesa to appreciate the beautiful landscape of Ipanema and Copacabana beaches, Guanabara Bay, and Niteroi. You can also take a guided tour to the Botanical Garden with its stunning palms and orchidarium. The place is famous for birdwatching, and you might spot various species. At the end of the day, return to the hotel (a half-day tour that can be taken in the morning or afternoon).

Recommended: For the evening, there's an option for those who want to experience the Rio Carnival to the fullest! You'll be picked up from your hotel around 9:00 PM and provided with the costume for the parade. Depending on the scheduled participation time of the Samba school you're associated with, you'll enter the Sambodromo and parade alongside the float, becoming part of one of the world's major events. An absolutely unique experience! After your parade, you can even take your costume home as a souvenir.

Get ready at the specified time to witness the largest Carnival in the world! You can enjoy the spectacle from the stands, providing you with an overview of this grand event: 6 of the best Special Group Samba schools will parade right in front of you. Hundreds of people will take turns dancing and singing to the rhythm of meticulously crafted music selections that have been prepared over the course of a whole year. During the parade, there will be three different shuttle rounds to take you back to the hotel at different times, depending on the length of your stay.

After the amazing impressions of one of the most beautiful and vibrant countries on Earth, it's time to take your flight back home if you're concluding your individual tour of Brazil at this point. After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport. Surely your eyes will close during the return flight, but you might take the opportunity to look at the many vacation photos on the plane and relive the unforgettable days in Brazil!
