Itinerary
Day 1 :
Welcome to Rio de Janeiro
Stages: Rio de Janeiro, Galeão International Airport
Welcome to Brazil! An off-the-beaten-path journey begins today, starting with the wonders that only Rio has to offer... You'll land at the airport and be transferred to your hotel by private car with a driver. The first day is free to rest after the long journey, but if you arrive early and prefer, we can add a guided tour. Check-in for your room starts at 2:00 PM, so if you arrive in the morning, you can take advantage of the opportunity to take a dip in the hotel pool, stroll on the beach, or request a guided tour of a neighborhood, such as the historic center or the Tijuca Forest. Accommodation: Standard hotel in the city.
Day 2 :
Rio Tours: Tailor-Made Must-See Attractions
Stages: Sugarloaf, Christ the Redeemer
Today we'll make sure to visit all of Rio's must-see attractions! Starting, of course, with Christ the Redeemer, one of the Seven Wonders of the World, we'll see the Maracanã Stadium from the outside (but if you'd like, we can add a visit to the football museum!), then we'll pass by Lapa and the Metropolitan Cathedral. Of course, we'll also visit the Selarón Steps, one of Rio's most beloved attractions. And finally, Sugarloaf Mountain, an icon of Rio and Brazil, rising to 396 meters, one of the most beautiful landscapes ever! You'll also visit the Sambadrome to soak up the atmosphere of the Rio Carnival. During the day, you'll have a lunch break (buffet lunch included). Accommodation: Standard hotel in the city.
Day 3 :
Guided tour of Brazil's largest favela
Stages: Rocinha
Today, you'll take a several-hour walking tour of the Rocinha favela, the largest in Rio and Brazil, fully respecting the residents and avoiding any intrusiveness. You'll be accompanied by a guide specialized in the inner workings to discover how life really works inside a favela: a "city within the city" where most of the locals live. You'll climb to the highest point of the favela and then walk down the alleys, observing the different parts of the community. You'll understand the economic and social challenges, while also contributing to the local community through the tour itself. Accommodation: Standard hotel in the city.
Day 4 :
Trekking to Morro Dois Irmãos: breathtaking view of Ipanema
Stages: Vidigal
Rio de Janeiro has no shortage of spectacular viewpoints. Morro Dois Irmãos is one of the best and perhaps the most interesting for breathtaking views of the city and beaches, as well as the favelas. You'll depart from your hotel and head to the trailhead at the base of Two Brothers Hill. You'll pass through the Tijuca Forest to the top of Dois Irmãos for a panoramic view of Rio's southern tip and a commanding view of Ipanema and Leblon beaches. This will be one of the best trails in the city, offering breathtaking views! During the tour, you'll pass through the Vidigal favela. It's a 1-hour hike uphill and about 1-hour downhill. Accommodation: Standard hotel.
Day 5 :
Air travel to the edge of the Amazon rainforest
Stages: Manaus
Transfer to the airport and flight to Manaus. Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting for you at the domestic arrivals gate. Drop-off at your hotel and evening at leisure (you can dine at the hotel or ask us for recommendations for the best restaurants). Accommodation: Standard hotel in the city.
Day 6 :
Entering the Amazonian community
Stages: Manaus
Your day begins in the morning with a hotel pickup in Manaus and transfer to your host community. The journey is already part of the experience: first by vehicle to the port of Novo Airão, then by motorized canoe, navigating increasingly wild and evocative landscapes. Upon arrival at the community, you'll be welcomed and settled into your rooms. After lunch, you'll set out by canoe to explore the region, immersing yourself in the sounds and colors of the Amazon. After dinner, the excitement continues with a nighttime canoe excursion to observe wildlife: one of the highlights is spotting alligators in their natural habitat. Overnight stay at the community.
Day 7 :
Exploring the most authentic Amazon
Stages: Amazon Basin
The day begins with breakfast, immersed in the sounds of the awakening forest. In the morning, you'll set off on a jungle walk, accompanied by your guide, to discover plants, ancient trees, and curiosities about Amazonian life. After lunch at the lodge, in the afternoon, you'll embark on a motorized canoe trip to experience the thrill of piranha fishing, followed by a spectacular sunset over the river. The day concludes with dinner, in a relaxed atmosphere surrounded by nature. Overnight stay in the community.
Day 8 :
Dawn over the Amazon and night in the jungle
Stages: Amazon Basin
The day begins at dawn, canoeing through the golden hues of the river as the forest awakens: the perfect time to observe birds and, with a little luck, pink dolphins. After breakfast, you'll reach the home of an indigenous family by motorized canoe to experience their culture, traditions, and lifestyle firsthand. In the afternoon, you'll head into the jungle for an authentic night in the forest. Along the way, your guide will provide survival tips, and you'll sleep in hammocks with mosquito nets, immersed in the sounds of nature. Overnight stay in a community.
Day 9 :
Greetings to the Jungle
Stages: Amazon Basin
The day begins at dawn, canoeing amidst the colors of the sun rising over the forest, with the chance to observe numerous bird species and, with a little luck, pink dolphins. After breakfast, it's time to say goodbye to the jungle and head back to Manaus: first by boat to Novo Airão, then by car along the road that runs through the forest. You'll catch your flight back to Rio, and upon arrival, a person will greet you with a sign with your name and accompany you to your hotel for check-in. Accommodation: Standard hotel in the city.
Day 10 :
Goodbye Brazil, see you next adventure!
Stages: Galeão International Airport
Today, your international flight home awaits you. You'll leave this country with a heart full of wonder and warmth... and a desire to return and explore even more! Your driver will pick you up in the hotel lobby at the scheduled time and take you to the airport. If your flight departs in the evening, a tour can be arranged, booking in advance. See you on your next Brazilian adventure!
